TRAP-NEUTER-RETURN (TNR)

We are not currently accepting new TNR requests.

At PCR, we believe the lives of cats and our communities can be improved primarily through the trap-neuter-return method (or TNR). With the help of our volunteers, we're reducing the feral cat population in an ethical way.

We've constructed a brief overview of the TNR method and benefits of feline population intervention. Check it out!

We're building a safer world for our feline friends.

What is trap-neuter-return?

Trap-neuter-return (or TNR) is an alternative, non-lethal, and humane approach to controlling feral cat populations. This approach involves the gentle capture of "community cats." The cats are then admitted to a reliable veterinary service where they are spayed or neutered. After a successful recovery period, the cats are then returned to their natural environment/area from where they were captured, effectively controlling the cat population of a target area.

Currently, we are not accepting TNR requests.

Please visit our EDUCATION section to learn more about how to help cats in your area, or visit ADDITIONAL RESOURCES to find alternative feline welfare groups that may be able to help.
